This Executive Committee is focused on advancing and increasing the recognition and adoption of Mautic. Leveraging proven marketing strategies, they lead initiatives to raise awareness, spark interest, and facilitate widespread use of Mautic's open source project while working in collaboration with the Marketing Team. Their strategic approach is key to positioning Mautic favorably in the marketing automation landscape.

The Marketing and Strategy Executive Committee is an integral part of the Mautic Council, tasked with elevating awareness and fostering increased use of Mautic as a whole. Their focus includes developing effective marketing strategies to amplify Mautic's visibility worldwide. They set the strategic directions for marketing campaigns, and work with the Marketing Team who implement those projects on a day-to-day basis.

Their dual focus lies in raising awareness about the project and converting that awareness into tangible usage, thus driving the platform's growth and prominence in the marketing automation landscape. Additionally, they maintain consistent internal communication within the Mautic community, ensuring its members stay informed and engaged.

  • We're working on the OKRs that Ruth has set, some are owned by Barsha and some by Ruth and Sven.

  • Prateek asked whether we should focus the Council report on the last 18 months instead of Jan to December, because the event is in June so we'd be missing 6 months of high activity.

  • Dominique suggested a quarterly review to share what's happened in the last quarter and what's coming up on the horizon. Ruth can incorporate this into the office hours livestream. Each manager gets to present their part if it's relevant (e.g. if there's something to report) - could also help with accountability.

  • How can Marketing support this process? Ruth shared the vision of the flywheel powered by community.

  • Prateek shared that things for Axelerant have been a bit bumpy - lots of work some months and not much other months, but they're focused mostly on things like professional services.

  • Discussion about how to grow this sustainably - what budget do we need? Prateek shared about university/campus ambassadors which tend to have time, passion and motivation to drive things forward.

  • Discussion on having case studies on agencies who are using Mautic and their successes - e.g. Webmecanik, Acquia, Dropsolid etc.
