About Mautic World Conference (MautiCon) 2026

Mautic World Conference 2026 is the next in the series of flagship events organised by the world's first open source Marketing Automation project, Mautic, designed for inspiration, education, and networking. It is a one-day in-person event which empowers both new and existing Mautic users and marketing automation enthusiasts worldwide to learn, grow and succeed. 

Role Overview

The Volunteer Sponsorship Lead will lead partnership and sponsorship efforts for the conference, identifying aligned brands and building meaningful collaborations that support the event’s success.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify and engage potential sponsors and partners

  • Lead sponsor outreach and communication

  • Manage sponsorship proposals and agreements

  • Coordinate sponsor deliverables with the wider team

  • Ensure sponsors receive clear value and visibility before and during the event

  • Collaborate with the marketing lead in driving sponsorships for the event

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident communicator who understands value exchange and relationship-building. The ideal candidate is comfortable reaching out to brands, managing conversations, and aligning sponsor goals with the event vision.

Timelines and Expectations for this Role 

  • Q1: Begin research and outreach 

  • Q2: Secured about 75% of sponsorship commitment ($36,500 total) and 1-2 new sponsors 

  • Q3: Focus on delivering value to our sponsors across our website and social media platforms

  • Q4: Final event preparations, and post-event follow-up

Required Knowledge and Experience 

  • Experience in partnerships, sponsorships, sales, or relationship management

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to identify and engage potential sponsors aligned with the event vision

  • Experience working with proposals, pitch decks, or partnership outreach

  • Confidence in managing conversations with brands and organisations

Preferred Background 

  • Background in marketing, business development, events, or community partnerships

  • Prior experience securing sponsorships or partnerships (paid or in-kind)

  • Comfortable working with global brands and international stakeholders
