Mautic Conference Europe Program Lead
Position: Volunteer Program Lead
Event: Mautic Conference Europe
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Event Date: 4-5 November 2024
Commitment: 4-5 hours per week on average; full availability during the event and increased availability the week leading up to the event.
About the Role:
Mautic Conference Europe is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Program Lead to spearhead all aspects of programming for our upcoming event in Lisbon, Portugal, in November 2024. This role is crucial in ensuring the conference's success by curating a compelling agenda, coordinating with speakers, and overseeing the smooth execution of sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the schedule planning: Lead the development of the conference program, including the call for speakers, session selection, and scheduling.
- Team Building: Recruit and manage a team to support the sessions, including track leads who will MC the tracks and runners to help with the practicalities of an in-person event.
- Speaker Coordination: Organize travel requirements for speakers, working closely with the Project Lead for logistical support.
- Session Management: Ensure all sessions run smoothly on the day of the event, coordinating with track leads and addressing any issues that arise.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Project Lead, other team leads and contributors to align the conference program with the overall event goals.
- Availability: Commit to 4-5 hours per week on average leading up to the event, with full availability during the conference and increased availability in the week prior to the event.
Skills & Qualifications:

- Event Planning Experience: Previous experience in event planning or program management is highly desirable.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills are needed to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to build, inspire and manage a team of volunteers effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with speakers, team members, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently during the event.
- Commitment: Dedication to ensuring the success of Mautic Conference Europe and the ability to commit to the required hours.
