Contributing to Mautic

Position: Mautic Country Ambassador

Term Length: Three-Year Term

Location: Remote/Global

Reports to: Mautic Regional Ambassador

About the Role:

Mautic Country Ambassadors are dedicated individuals tasked with promoting and supporting the adoption and use of Mautic, an open source marketing automation tool, within specific countries. This voluntary role involves advocacy, education, community engagement, and collaboration to drive awareness and engagement for Mautic at the national level

Responsibilities:

1. Advocacy and Promotion:

• Promote Mautic nationally as a powerful marketing automation tool through various channels such as social media, webinars, workshops, and local events.
• Create and manage dedicated social media accounts for your country to engage with the community and promote Mautic-related activities.
• Establish partnerships with local businesses, agencies, and organizations to integrate Mautic into their marketing strategies.

2. Community Engagement:

• Build and nurture a national Mautic community by organizing meetups, forums, and online events where users can connect, share knowledge, and collaborate.
• Invite speakers from the Mautic team to participate in national events and provide insights into the tool’s features and benefits.
• Foster strong community collaboration and relationships, attracting and onboarding new community members.

3. Training and Support:

• Conduct training sessions focused on educating users and businesses about Mautic’s features, benefits, and best practices.
• Provide support and assistance to users, helping them troubleshoot issues and optimize their use of Mautic.
• Gather feedback from users and communicate it to the Mautic development team to improve the tool.

4. Event Organization:

• Organize promotional events in your country, including physical/virtual meetups, workshop sessions, hackathons, and national conferences.
• Coordinate with other ambassadors and the Program Lead to ensure the success of these events.
• Secure event partnerships and conference opportunities for Mautic promotion.

5. Reporting and Communication:

• Compile achievements and noteworthy activities in a shareable document
• Submit progress reports detailing promotion efforts, event outcomes, support provided, and issues addressed.
• Maintain timely and regular communication regarding event promotion strategies and participant management.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of contribution to the Mautic project.
• Demonstrated expertise in marketing automation and familiarity with Mautic’s features and functionalities for at least 1 year.
• Active involvement in relevant communities, forums, or groups related to marketing and technology for at least 1 year.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively promote and educate others about Mautic.
• Ability to organize and manage events, both physical and virtual.
• Proficiency in using social media and online collaboration tools.
• Commitment:
• Willingness to dedicate 5-10 hours per month to ambassador responsibilities, with additional time for organizing monthly meetups if applicable.
• Passion for open source projects and community building.
• Public speaking experience or a keen interest in learning.
