Position: Assistant Team Lead, Product Team

About the Role:

The Mautic community is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Product Team as the Assistant Team Lead with a focus on product management. This three-year term volunteer role is ideal for a technical marketer with a strong understanding of Mautic who can effectively bridge the gap between marketers, users, and developers. The Assistant Team Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring that Mautic continues to meet the needs of its diverse user base and drive product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Management: Assist in planning and executing product strategies to enhance Mautic’s features and functionality.

• User Communication: Act as a liaison between marketers, users, and developers to ensure clear communication and understanding of product requirements and feedback.

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and gather user feedback to identify trends, needs, and opportunities for product improvement.

• Documentation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of product documentation with the support of the Education Team, ensuring it is comprehensive and user-friendly.

• Feature Prioritization: Collaborate with the Product Team Lead and Project Lead to prioritize product features and enhancements based on user feedback and market demands.

• Community Engagement: Engage with the Mautic community to gather insights, answer questions, and foster a collaborative environment.

• Leadership Transition: Prepare to step into the Team Lead role during the second year by shadowing the current lead and understanding the responsibilities.

• Handover Assistance: In the third year, support the incoming Assistant Team Lead to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of product initiatives.

Eligibility:

• Community Elected: Must be an active member of the Mautic community with voting rights.

• No Outstanding Issues: No outstanding, unresolved code of conduct breaches or investigations.

• Nomination: Candidates can nominate themselves or be nominated with their consent by another community member.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Marketing: Strong background in technical marketing with a solid understanding of Mautic.

• Product Management: Experience in product management, including market research, feature prioritization, and user communication.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between marketers, users, and developers.

• Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively and engage effectively with a diverse community.

• Commitment: Dedication to Mautic’s mission and values, with a commitment to the full three-year term.

Leadership Transition:

• Three-Month Handover Period: The incoming leader will shadow the outgoing leader to ensure a smooth transition.

• Three-Month Outgoing Period: The outgoing leader will remain available to assist the new leader as needed.
