Mautic Council – End Q3/26 meeting – 14 Oct 2026

Present: Ekke Gümbel (Chair), Sven Döring (Treasurer), Norman Pracht (Secretary), Jan Linhart, Adrian Schimpf, Dominique De Cooman (joined late), Sīlavāpi Cheesley (Project Lead)

Decisions

1. A monthly payment option will be offered on all membership tiers, Community included, with an annual commitment. Cancellation terms are still to be defined.

2. No affiliate programme.

3. Mautic 4 is dropped from security backports. The ELTS 5 page is ready and goes live after sign-off; ELTS 5 must pay for itself.

4. Marketplace: the first step is a "provided by a Mautic member" badge. Wider gating and paid security reviews will be discussed in London.

5. Reassurance and call-to-action communication: Sven drafts it, and it will be published in about 3 weeks, after input from London.

Finance

• Financial situation and short-term cash flow reviewed. Mitigation measures agreed (event cost reductions, use of completed-initiative funds if needed) and a detailed cash-flow forecast requested for the next meeting.

• The Project Lead's paid time is being reduced from November; Sīlavāpi continues as a volunteer alongside.

• Funding: applications submitted or in preparation (Alpha-Omega, FLOSS Fund); further programmes (NLnet, Sovereign Tech Agency, country-specific funds) being assessed.

Product and teams

• The 7.2.2 security release is in preparation and is the prerequisite for 7.3, targeted for this quarter. More reviewing and testing capacity is needed.

• Mautic 8: Symfony 8 and Doctrine upgrades are done; the Bootstrap upgrade is underway.

• CI capacity and QA automation for security work will be discussed in London.

• CRA: Marco (Plus Growth) is attending Code & Compliance and will report back. The CRA plan will be worked on offline.

• Privacy project has started, and its wireframes are on the portal for feedback.

• AI initiative: first funding draft done, more contributors needed.

• Education: documentation is much improved.

• MautiCon London: sponsorship is on target and ticket sales are starting.

• Council elections: a revised timeline (nominations after MautiCon) is under discussion in Slack.

• Trials RFP: shortlisting is in progress. Norman, an applicant, recused himself.

Actions

• Sīlavāpi: write up the 2026 worst case and a 2027 monthly cash flow (next meeting)

• Sīlavāpi: set up monthly pricing tables, Stripe links and the website page

• Sīlavāpi: finalise the FLOSS Fund proposal; add this meeting's outcome to the Open Startup report

• Ekke, Sven: sign off the ELTS 5 page, then Sīlavāpi switches the ELTS page and does outreach (14 Oct)

• Sven: finish the Support Mautic landing page and swap the short URL (next week)

• Sven: draft the story and message for the reassurance post and share it in the council channel (~3 weeks)

• Adrian: check which listed funding programmes fit Mautic, plus the Hasler Foundation (next meeting)

• Adrian: Rahul assigned to security reviewing and testing as a priority for the coming weeks

• Ekke / Sven: get CRA input from Marco after the event (early Nov)

• Norman: confirm the Council election timeline

• Ekke: send the poll for the next meeting date

• All: review the privacy wireframes; point contributors to the AI initiative
