Campaign Library phase 1 delivery - weekly update 7 Feb

Avatar: Post oficial Post oficial

Hi all

Project name: Campaign Library Phase 1
Status: 🟢 On target

Following the successful completion of the proof of concept and the start of the UI for the export and import features coming together, this week has all been about thinking about edge cases.

I have been wracking my brain and the Mautic documentation to get to grips with what could be the more complicated ways that people use Mautic, and running through checking that our work will make sure our features are robust when importing and exporting campaigns. As a result we are now up to 4 sprints (of a planned 10) full of work to complete and problems to solve. That leaves plenty of 'wriggle room' for working through development, code review and testing which at this stage is encouraging. It would be the famous last words of a project manager to say we are 'ahead of schedule' so I won't go that far just yet!

We did the community meeting to demo the proof of concept last Monday but unfortunately we didn't have any new attendees, so we shelved the idea for the moment. We will run another meeting later in the project when there is a full UI demo of both import and export to show. If anyone feels that they have something to say, please feel free to leave feedback here or message me directly. I am all ears! If anyone would like to see the work done on the proof of concept, the PR is in GitHub. I am very keen to ensure we deliver a robust solution so please don't hesitate to let me know any thoughts you may have had.

We move onto Sprint 2 starting to look at the import function in more detail, completing more UI and adding in permissions checks.

Onwards!

Thank you
DJ
