About Mautic World Conference (Mauticon) 2026
Mautic World Conference 2026 is the next in the series of flagship events organised by the world's first open source Marketing Automation project, Mautic, designed for inspiration, education, and networking. It is a one-day in-person event which empowers both new and existing Mautic users and marketing automation enthusiasts worldwide to learn, grow and succeed.
Role Overview
The Volunteer Program Lead will be responsible for shaping and managing the conference programme, ensuring a seamless flow of sessions and a positive experience for speakers and attendees.
This role sits at the heart of the event, working closely with speakers, moderators, and the production team to deliver a well-structured, engaging agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the conference programme and session flow
Coordinate with speakers and moderators ahead of the event
Ensure sessions run on schedule and transitions are smooth
Serve as the main point of contact for programme-related matters
Support on-the-day execution alongside the production team
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone highly organised, proactive, and calm under pressure. The ideal candidate enjoys coordinating people and timelines, communicates clearly, and understands how thoughtful programming enhances the overall event experience.
Timelines and Expectations for this Role
Q1: Call for speakers released, and a keynote speaker announced.
Q2: The event agenda is released. Identifying the track leads for the event.
Q3: Ensuring the speakers are prepared, collaborating with the marketing and design teams to promote the speakers' talks. Visa applications and documentation support.
Q4: Final event preparations, speaker liaisons and dealing with last-minute cancellations.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Experience in planning or managing event programmes, agendas, or schedules
Strong understanding of speaker flow, session timing, and audience experience
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders (speakers, moderators, internal teams)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Background
Background in event planning, community management, programme management, or operations
Experience working on conferences, panels, workshops, or virtual/in-person events
Comfortable working with global teams and international speakers
