Position Overview

As the Social Media Manager for Mautic, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our presence across various social media platforms including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, Instagram, Facebook, and Mastodon. This role requires creativity, initiative, and a deep understanding of digital marketing trends to effectively manage and grow our online community.Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Management: Craft compelling content tailored for each social media platform using tools like Canva and HeyOrca to engage our audience and promote Mautic’s features and community events.
  • Strategic Adaption: Adapt the overarching marketing strategy for our social media channels to increase follower engagement, brand awareness, community growth and trial conversions.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and regularly report social media performance to gauge the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and participate in relevant conversations to foster a positive community atmosphere.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience across all channels.

Requirements

  • Experience: We care more about your drive and motivation than a list of former proven experience. While the latter is a bonus, the former is way more important.
  • Skills: Strong writing and content creation skills, proficiency in content/design and social media management tools such as Canva and HeyOrca, and an understanding of performance reporting.
  • Attributes: Creative, self-motivated, lovely communicator, and a keen interest in open-source technology and community building.

Time Commitment

This is a volunteer position. We expect a commitment of approximately 2 - 6 hours per week, flexible depending on your availability.Benefits
