Reports to: Mautic General Assembly

About the Role:

The Mautic community is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join the Mautic Council. As a Council Member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Mautic, ensuring transparent and inclusive governance, and fostering a collaborative environment for all community members. This is a three-year term volunteer position that requires a strong commitment to Mautic’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of Mautic’s strategic goals and initiatives.

Governance: Participate in decision-making processes to ensure transparent and accountable governance within the Mautic community.

Community Representation: Act as a representative of the community, bringing forward the perspectives and needs of various stakeholders.

Policy Development: Assist in the creation and revision of policies that govern the Mautic project and its community.

Collaboration: Work closely with other Council Members, Team Leads, and Working Groups to ensure alignment and effective execution of Mautic’s objectives.

Advocacy: Promote Mautic’s mission, values, and goals within the broader open source and marketing automation communities.

Conflict Resolution: Address and mediate conflicts within the community to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.

Oversight: Monitor the progress of various initiatives and projects, providing guidance and support as needed.

Eligibility:

Community Elected: Must be an active member of the Mautic community with voting rights.

No Outstanding Issues: No outstanding, unresolved code of conduct breaches or investigations.

No more than two Council members with same affiliations: No more than two Council members should have the same affiliations - for example, work for the same company - more here.

Nomination: Candidates can nominate themselves or be nominated with their consent by another community member.

Skills & Qualifications:

Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse community.

Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Commitment: Dedication to Mautic’s mission and values, with a commitment to the full three-year term.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Experience: Previous experience in governance, policy development, or community management is beneficial but not required.

Leadership Transition:

Three-Month Handover Period: The incoming Council Member will shadow the outgoing member to ensure a smooth transition.

Three-Month Outgoing Period: The outgoing Council Member will remain available to assist the new member as needed.
