Team Lead: Community Team
Position: Community Team Lead
Term Length: Three-Year Term
Location: Remote/Global
Reports to: Mautic Council
About the Role:
The Mautic community is seeking a passionate and driven individual to take on the role of Community Team Lead. This three-year term volunteer position involves leading the Community Team, fostering growth, ensuring inclusivity, and enhancing the overall community experience for Mautic users worldwide. The Community Team Lead will play a pivotal role in organizing events, supporting local and global communities, and connecting with other open source communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Lead and manage the Community Team, providing strategic direction and oversight.
• Growth Support: Develop and implement strategies to support the growth of both global and local Mautic communities.
• Ethics and Inclusivity: Promote and maintain an ethical, accessible, and inclusive community environment.
• Contribution Facilitation: Create and maintain easy starting points for new contributors, ensuring a welcoming onboarding process.
• Event Organization: Organize and support Mautic events, including meetups, webinars, and conferences to foster community engagement.
• Community Infrastructure: Continuously improve community infrastructure to support effective communication and collaboration.
• Open Source Connections: Build and nurture relationships with other open source communities to share knowledge and collaborate on projects.
• Team Meetings: Organize and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure alignment and progress on community initiatives.
• Liaison: Act as a liaison between the Community Team and other Team Leads to foster collaboration and cohesion.
Eligibility:
• Community Elected: Must be an active member of the Mautic community with voting rights.
• No Outstanding Issues: No outstanding, unresolved code of conduct breaches or investigations.
• Nomination: Candidates can nominate themselves or be nominated with their consent by another community member.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience: Strong background in community building and engagement.
• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Communication: Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and ethical community culture.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively and engage effectively with a diverse community.
• Commitment: Dedication to Mautic’s mission and values, with a commitment to the full three-year term.

• Person A (Team Lead)
• Person B (Assistant Team Lead - previous Team Lead)
• Year 2:
• Person A (Team Lead)
• Person C (New Assistant Team Lead)
• Year 3:
• Person C (Team Lead)
• Person A (Previous Team Lead)
Leadership Transition:
• Three-Month Handover Period: The incoming leader will shadow the outgoing leader to ensure a smooth transition.
• Three-Month Outgoing Period: The outgoing leader will remain available to assist the new leader as needed.
