What are phases in participatory processes?

A participatory process will usually by its nature have stages during which different things happen. For example:

  • Initial information gathering
  • Request for proposals
  • Voting
  • Appointment

Each phase will have a start and end date, and different functionality might be made available - for example being able to submit proposals during the Request for Proposals phase but not any others, and being able to vote on proposals only during the voting phase.

You can see the phases overview by clicking in the box at the top-right of the process, which opens a timeline view of the process phases.
