Mautic Trials Working Group

A regular meeting of the working group building the Mautic trials infrastructure and marketing.

Notes

1. Trials agreement and DPA will be reviewed internally at Dropsolid and any changes will come back to us for consideration
2. Trials soft launch yielded some challenges with concurrent cron jobs - we have 15 environments live currently which aren't being widely used at this time.
3. Optimising to make sure there's multiple environments ready to load the new requests, and queueing system to process the incoming requests.
4. There's something which is causing a lot more demand on first run which they're looking into.
5. We will need to stress-test this by spinning up a lot of environments all at once
6. Date for launch is set for next Tuesday
7. Do we need to have a two-step verification when someone confirms ownership of their email address? Yes we do ideally!
8. We will put a cap on the number of activations that are processed at any point in time and then put a queue in place to handle incoming requests.
9. There is an email set up if the trial isn't enacted within 30 minutes telling the user there's a delay.
10. What is needed for a go/no go for launch?
11. Infra needs to be in place and tested
12. Validation of email in order to process the request
13. Scaling up of infra
14. Queueing system for cron jobs
15. Hot spare servers in case needed at launch
16. Tour needs to be in place and tested (need to send to another group of testers)
17. This week we need to have all the information including the javascript for the tour
18. Crowd source through the community / Ruth/Mike to work on it

21. Some concerns on caching and making sure that we maximise the use of ProductHunt.
22. Mattias will try to ensure we have some 'hot spares' ready to warm up quickly.
