#MauticCampaignLibrary Innovation in Action: Establishing Mautic's Campaign Library
Campaign Library phase 1 delivery - weekly update 24 Jan
Hello all
How time flies. It's my daughter's 17th birthday this weekend and we're just about to complete week 2 of the project.
Project name: Campaign Library Phase 1
Status: 🟢 On target
This week we took a decision on the scope of the Proof of Concept that we are producing. With the support of Jan and Ruth, we decided to limit the POC to command line only rather than including a UI as well. The rationale was very aligned with our approach to the project of delivering as iteratively as we can, starting with the basic functionality first as a solid foundation to build on. We have planned the POC to only include certain elements, such as we won't be resolving every last dependency in Mautic for the import and export functions. The idea here is we can add these in as additional pieces gradually... but the manner in which the import and export functions work should be easily extensible to allow that. The UI can also be added as we develop - Levente our developer has already had some success with that.
I have had some good conversations with AJ regarding the user interface for the new features and I'm confident that what we build will be very aligned with the new 'Carbon' design system that's in Mautic 6.
Elsewhere I started creating a decision log and risk log to help manage the project. You can see those on the Confluence project site. I also spent quite a bit of time with the user stories in JIRA getting them to a place where we are all happy with them.
Next week I plan to reach out to the documentation team as well as the release team to understand how those aspects of the delivery need to work.
I welcome contributions, thoughts and ideas from the community so don't be backwards in coming forwards :)
Thanks
DJ
