Consolidation of Mautic form types
Currently, Mautic offers two types of forms: standalone forms and campaign forms. The primary difference is that only campaign forms can directly trigger a campaign. However, campaign forms have a severely limited set of post-submit actions.
This dual form system often causes confusion, particularly for new Mautic users. No compelling reason has been identified to maintain two separate form types. A single, consolidated form type could cover all use cases effectively.
This project will merge the two existing types into a single, unified “Mautic Form.” This will:
Simplify the UI/UX by removing the initial form type decision.
Provide access to the full set of form actions for every form.
Allow any form to be used as a campaign trigger.
The result will be faster form configuration and a more intuitive form builder experience for all users.
