As I (Madlen Friedrich) am nominating Sven, I only know of his affiliation with VML Germany and moorwald.

What is your background with Mautic?
Sven first encountered Mautic 2021 during a project with a previous employer and was immediately drawn to the openness of the platform and the strength of the community surrounding it. From that moment on, he became an active member of the community, contributing both operationally and strategically.

What contributions have you made to Mautic?
Over time, Sven has become one of the top contributors to the Mautic project. From September 2023 to May 2024 he was the Mautic Marketing Assistant Team Lead. In June 2024 he has taken on the role of Marketing Team Lead, where he helps to shape and coordinate community-driven marketing initiatives. Under his leadership, the Marketing Team has grown in structure, visibility, and collaboration, supporting increased awareness and adoption of Mautic worldwide.

What is your vision for Mautic?
Sven’s vision is to strengthen Mautic’s position as the leading open-source marketing automation platform by continuing to grow a strong, inclusive, and sustainable community. From a strong community comes an even stronger product, he believes. Ensuring that Mautic remains accessible to organizations of all sizes and that its development continues to be guided by real-world use cases, transparency, and collaboration.

What do you bring to the Mautic Community Council?
Sven brings a deep understanding of both the strategic and practical needs of the Mautic community. His experience in leading international teams, combined with his collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, enables him to support discussions with empathy, clarity, and structure. He actively fosters alignment between contributors, agencies, users, and partners. His background with global agencies and enterprises means he understands the procurement processes that larger organizations navigate when considering open source—useful perspective for making Mautic a viable choice for bigger players.
