- I'm owner, Co-Founder and Co-Ceo of Dropsolid
What is your background with Mautic?
Dropsolid the company I founded delivers both services and Products around Mautic. We had the vision of building an open DXP since 2019 and we were actively looking for an open source marketing automation platform to complete Drupal, the CMS part of the open DXP.
We've been using and selling Mautic for over almost 4 years. We've been active in the community and sponsoring Mautic because we love the idea of an open source marketing automation platform and we see it as a crucial part of open DXP. I'm really lucky 🍀 and grateful 🙏 that I've had the chance to be part of this community.
What contributions have you made to Mautic?
The contribution I've made were mostly in sponsoring through our company Dropsolid and in spreading the message about Mautic in other open source communities. For example in 2023 I did a presentation on bringing Mautic and Drupal closer together on Mauticon 2023, DrupalJAM in the Netherlands, Drupalday in Portugal, Drupalcamp Spain in Seville and Drupalcon in Lille.
What is your vision for Mautic?
I believe Mautic is not an island and to be really successful I believe it has to join other open source projects to form what is called the open Digital experience platform (DXP).
I believe Mautic will be even stronger if it joins forces with communities like Wordpress, Drupal, Typo3, ... and leverages the overall open source community to increase its adoption.
From a product perspective it would be able to leverage these other open source CMS communities its developers to enhance the product. Imagine every Drupal, Wordpress, Typo3, ... developer also contributing to Mautic?
From a marketing perspective, making itself part of other products amplifies its adoption. Imagine every time a Wordpress or a Drupal is installed as a DXP Mautic is part of it? 😊
What do you bring to the Mautic Community Council?
I bring a unique combination of expertise: 1. From webdevelopment (background of many years as a Drupal developer) 2. From sales and marketing & 3. From being business owner of a company twith 80 people hat both delivers Mautic services and Mautic based products.
Because of this combination I believe I have unique perspective of the market and different stakeholders (devs, marketers, business persons) within the community. I believe I can give the community valuable business insights both on the business, product and market level. Increasing the chance of succes and widespread adoption.
Why should community members vote for you?
If community members want to see:
1. An expanding adoption of Mautic
2. Bridges with other open source ecosystems.
3. New opportunities to package and sell Mautic like for example as part of the open DXP
They should vote on me 😊
