Mautic Trials Working Group

A regular meeting of the working group building the Mautic trials infrastructure and marketing.

Notes

• Focus on the onboarding is to be on learning rather than just trying the product.
• The main folks we need to support this will be marketers - especially when people are new to Mautic or marketing automation.
• We can also potentially give a cheat sheet if they are coming from another platform telling them what the equivalents are in Mautic.
• Webhook to create the instance is ready to go.
• The Company name will be used in the slug of the URL but it's optional - will use first or last name if company name isn't in use already
• Welcome email will go out from the Mautic mautic instance.
• Account will be disabled at 14 days if they do not sign up (discussion that we may need to disable the cron jobs and spools) - or could delete it and take a DB dump / user uploaded files. Dropsolid to determine which would be the best route.
• Goal for the trials: Get them to the point of sending the email and then CTA for upgrading in order to actually send (or contact support if needing more trial time).
• Dropsolid to chat with Joey about the potential to use the onboarding workflow plugin.
• Mike is working on the landing page, call to action, campaigns, and content.
• Could we maybe show a demo video at Mauticon in the keynote, where we showcase the workflow / what will happen to get people excited.
• We should create a list of folks who want to be beta testers of the trials / early testers and have them sign up to a list - need to create this during this week, and have them start testing ideally 1-2 weeks prior to General Availability launch.

Actions:

Ruth to make a landing page for trial pre-signup / testers (name, email, companyname, company role, company size, number of emails sent per month) - will shoot a mail when we're ready for launch.
