Spark innovation and inspire the next generation of Mautic features by proposing your unique and impactful ideas for future Google Summer of Code projects.

Our workflow is as follows:

  1. Project is proposed - any member of the portal can propose a project. At this stage it might or might not have any mentors assigned, and it might or might not be accepted by the core team.
  2. Project is evaluated - the core team reviews and decides if it's going to be something we should work on - set to 'Accepted' if this is the case. These proposals then have a green stripe and say 'Accepted'.
  3. Primary mentor is sought - if no mentors are assigned, project is set to 'Primary mentor needed' - these projects will not be open for applicants until mentors are assigned.
  4. Secondary mentor is sought - if one mentor is assigned, project is set to 'Secondary mentor needed' - these projects will not be open for applicants until a secondary mentor is identified.
  5. Project is ready for applicants - when two mentors are assigned, project is set to 'Ready for applicants' and will be eligible for being proposed as a GSoC project.

💡Note for potential applicants: ONLY projects marked as Accepted AND Ready for applicants will be considered for GSoC for the current year. If you're interested in any of the projects in mentor needed statuses, you'll need to try to find a mentor before you can apply for this project. Here's a filtered list of which projects are going to be considered for 2025.
